In Overtime mode, if Frank doesn't find the zombification suppressant within 24 hours, he will lurch over in pain, and fall to the floor. The screen will fade yellow to read the following.
“ Frank West, having fallen victim to the parasite, soon found himself zombified.
However, considering the state of affairs and the general hopelessness of the situation, this may be considered a humane end to our intrepid journalist.”
No achievements are unlocked or acknowledged from this "unofficial" ending, and the player is not even given the opportunity to save their status.
