Back in 1995, my home town had a research lab where they researched on monkeys. There was an ebola outbreak (the most dangerous virus on the planet) and the building was locked down and demolished. I remember as a kid that local rumor had it that government officials raided and 'took care' of the monkeys overnight. Apparently this inspired the book of 'The Hot Zone' and contributed to the making of the movie "Out Break".

To me this is kinda creepy since this is like just a few miles away from where I lived, and we are not talking some redneck hick town. Fairfax county is the richest county in the USA (we get a lot of high ups from Washington), and NOVA (North Virginia) houses over a million people.
