If you thnk of it it was stupid that they didn't make it.
I think the game would be fun if they made it for the gamecube or if the put it on PS2.

Those gen consoles can't handle the power and specs it takes to run a game like DR2
If they were to make it for GC or PS2 it would be very watered down, like what happend with the Wii version of DR:CTYD

Why would you want it on the gamecube anyway, the discs are half smaller than the wii's and the wii is more powerfull graphic wise than the gamecube and PS2 anyway. You would have to water down it more to be able to get it on a Gamecube Disc or PS2 Disc.

The gamecube is gone forever making it for that consile would just be an odd move. I'm happy they didn't because it would be weried and I want that consle to die. I am happy they didn't and I dont get why you want them to. I hate people who dont have next gen conciles and then they say OH HALO SHOULD HAVE CAME OUT ON DA PS2! Seriously no one likes the gamecube anymore and capcom would be idiots to put it on the gamecube. Laugh at the OP everyone

but i would too save money for an powerful PC
and you have an big hardspace you can easy instal it but we all not know the PC spec's for the game.

It stands for sumthin, i forget what, but its basically thes ecurity system on the disc that prevents you from pirateing the game. Unfortunately, now the DRMs are so high tech and annoying that you have to install seperate softwares with long download times and reenter different verification codes from different websites, its just a big hassle. I liked it when there was a code on the back of the game, you typed it in and you could play the game.

Gamecube could not handle the Original at all, it would end up like Chop Till' You Drop.

I just noticed this thread, I know, I know, it's old, but I need to say this:

As great as the Gamecube was in its time, (and it was pretty great!), it could, in no way, handle Dead Rising.

The reason? The Wii is almost the exact same hardware as the Gamecube, and look at what a disaster the DR game was for Wii. The only difference between the 'cube and the Wii is a slightly improved CPU clockspeed, a slightly smaller nano-architecture, and very, very slightly better ram (also, a tiny bit more ram). Other than that, it's the exact same system.

So if the ever so slightly more powerful Wii couldn't handle even a watered down DR, the Gamecube wouldn't have stood a chance.

BTW, off topic I guess, but this is why the Wii sucks so hard, it's just a Gamecube with motion controls, that it. They essentially took the exact same hardware they already had and added the stupid motion controllers, then sold it for 3 or 4 hundred dollars.

Wii=FAIL. The 'cube was AMAZING in it's day, but that hardware is beyond obsolete now.

This is the first I have first seen this, it made me giggle.. It would be the Dead Rising equivalent to like Resident Evil: Outbreak, loved the game, but when compaired to Dead Rising, eh..

Yeah outbreak is one sick game!, I want capcom to do another RE outbreak game for a next gen console. They could even just do a DLC mini series for the xboxlive marketplace/psn.

the gamecube does not have the hardware cabability of the xbox 360 and if it was bad for the wii it would suck for the gamecube
