New combo weapon spotted in page 96 on August 2010's issue of Game Informer Magazine. Its looks like a 2x4 with nails, but the nails are rusty. Have a look for yourself:

Well we have seen it but not know what it is called.

I know, I was trying to get to see if someone who know the name would post it. I was also going to upload every official weapon I could find and my Game Informer scans for the game and etc.... Wait..... In that picture..... WHAT IS THAT SECOND CHUCK IN THE BACKROUND WIELDING???????? SWORD AND SHIELD???? They look like they are on fire though. YESSS YESS!!

Bad news. I left my Dead Rising 2 GI at my grandma's and I won't be able to post it up until 10pm Miami time, tomorrow.

Yeah it looks like both Chuck's are wielding swords and shields only one of them is flaming. The sword Chuck is holding is odd looks like it's studded with something.[

Yeea, like the first Chuck has a weaker one made from wood and nails and has the 2x4 with nails, and the other Chuck (in the background) has metal version that are on fire but without the nails.

You sure the first Chuck (prounced by tiger) has a 2x4? It could be just combo'ed up, but the handle makes me think otherwise.

Something tells me that this has been brought up before... I think that the discussion concluded with everybody thinking the weapon was the "Sledgehammer + Fire Axe" combo weapon, called The Defiler. It's one of the few combo weapons we don't have a picture of yet.

Edit: Huh... nevermind. Just did a quick search.

I was thinking the same thing but it just looks too blocky which made me think its like a 2x4 with a handle for comfort but you'r probably right. Even so, when Capcom mentioned that only 1 of the combos would have 3 items, they didn't specify whether or not you could combine combo weapons. Example: I combine the Studded 2x4 with a sword or sword and shield and get what Chuck has. But you're probably right, it is a sword. But what I said gives me many ideas like a flaming or electric paddlesaw. Think about it and how awesome it would be.

Aww, thats what it looks like? I read it before and thought it would work like a medium-ranged brutal paddlesaw. Its still cool though.

We've known about the sword on fire for a while now (since June I think), afraid you're a bit late to the party. Try doing some searching before making these threads man. No offence and not trying to be mean, just saying.

Well, this was actually mainly for the 2x4 or... um...? (not so sure now) with nails. Plus I was going to have all the actualy ones I could find but, well, thats didn'tt turn out as planned.

No shame in making an active thread, got me interested.

This is old news but incase you were wondering the Wooden Shield and Sword (shown in pic) are 1 weapon, but as you can see you can modify them with nails or motor oil (to set them on fire, as done with the Flaming Gloves).

I think they got the stuff in some theme store/restraunt.
