See, if I compair, ill have to think when I first started playing DR1, and compair that to DR2. If I compair DR1 now to DR2, DR2 would win. I have broken, beaten, molested, raped, punished DR1 in so many different ways.

We just have to see.

but i never played the 1st one and i don't have an xbox 360.

so i just say DR2 for now, until DR3 gets released!

DR 2 already looks better just based on the videos and previews. the graphics are much improved (obviously since the original came out 4 years ago), the ragdoll physics is way better now, and the zombies are more versatile in this new one. they all have a unique look to them. not to mention the weapons are light years better

The second looks better but all of the reviewers saying its a 'Less story-driven game' worry me. I love games with good storys. It still looks really good I can't wait. And Andri wtf you never played the first?

well, when i got the money for a new console, it was either 360 or the ps3, i choose the ps3 because i wanted kingdom hearts 3 (that might never come) but i didn't know about dead rising 1 until dead rising 2.

but don't worry, they have yet to reveal the story, the full story of course. but the gameplay looks way better and got a crap ton of zombies on-screen. it's obvious it will top the first game by a 1,000 miles.

Capcom has built their company by making great story driven games and I think that DR2 will have just as good if not a better plot than the first game.

The first screenshots showed to us hinted at a really deep story, so I wouldn't count out a story driven plot just yet. Though there's always the possibility of 5 minutes of story then it gets set aside for the rest of the game until the end. :S

With just the weapon combos alone it makes it WAY better then their is multiplayer, more save slots more weapons, more zombies on screen. So my answer is a BIG FAT YES!!!!!!!!

I know it may seem premature to say which is better, but honestly, after 4 years it's obvious that the second one is going to blow the original one out of the water. they're going to expand everything that was good about the original one and do away with things that didn't work out. and you can expect an improvement in graphics since the original came out back in 2006

dead rising 2 will be more fun with more save spots and weapons HELL YEAH and i dont have xbox live damn it
im going off topic but is there a solid release date yet? and if capcom sett this game off again people will be pissed

the sequel has been a long-time coming. it's one of the few games that actually begs for a sequel to be made, and it's legit. plus you don't even have to play the original in order to play the sequel. I still don't get why they didn't release it for ps3. but oh well. DR2 is gonna make the original game irrelevant

My cold guess is DR1 will still be better. From what I've seen DR2 is really showing it is made by american company. More violence and show plus no real improvements makes it seem like more of the same DR1 is but worse

no way will the first one be better. DR2 does have more violence and gore, sure, but the ragdoll physics are much improved. you can easily tell. plus the amount of zombies on the screen has increased big time, not to mention 4 years of improved graphics. you're nuts if you think the original will be better

More zombies on screen can't really help anything. We already have our screen filled with zombies in DR1 sometimes. And I absolutely hate those parts with solid walls of zombies

Graphics are just graphics. The difference isn't that big and DR1 wasn't ugly either

DR2 might be better, but I fear it will be too much like DR1 ("I've played this already")and have horrible story. All this "ARGH we're so tough and cool" american stuff really puts me off

the Western company that Capcom is working with is Canadian anyway, not American. and combining western appeal to the game isn't a bad idea. it looks good so far. anyway, there's really nothing that suggests the original would be better. hell they're even going to improve the saving system, which totally sucked in the original. not to mention...DR2 is also coming to PS3! that's a big step up

TiR turns zombies into a sport and Chuck Greene seems like a much more violent tough guy than Frank did. It really rings how Williamette was in a small modest town while Fortune City is a LasVegas style show metropolis

But I haven't played DR2 for 1 second so the actual terror and weirdness of DR1 might be there. Afterall Keiji is still around. Then this game might be better than the original

TiR is just one small portion. it brings new light into the game. and yeah, DR2 looks way more violent than the original, but...that's not really a bad thing

i cant really judge because dr2 isnt out yet, but i think it will be better if they dont fuck it up

I don't know i liked the save system, it kinda gave you the feel as if this were to really happen you wouldent be able to say "Hey zombies can you wait i have to do something"

that was terrible and funny! i think DR2 is just for like 2 reasons
1.combo weapons
2.pawn shops to spend money at and ways to get money

well, the save system has been inproved, sorry i can't find a video of it, but i do remember that we get 3 save slots! could be more, but you have a good point, it's beeter to know how you would be in a real zombie apocalypse better then just saying: "i gotta go, let's meet here at the same exact spot so i can kick you're asses! bye, also, im immortal, cheats mofo! lololol"
